For SAFS students only.
Don't miss this is a great opportunity to gain new skills while networking with your peers!
These free 2-day workshops are available exclusively to graduates of Seattle Architectural Finishing
Studio and are offered to help keep our graduates on the cutting edge. There will only be a small fee
to cover materials and incidentals.
Workshop dates are:
March 10-11 (Sat - Sun)
April 27-28 (Fri - Sat)
May 19-20 (Fri - Sat)
These workshops will be offered on a first come, first served basis and are limited to 12 per class.
They will fill quickly so call us soon if you’d like to attend.
This will be a rigorous 2 days of learning and working, but plan on leaving some time and energy to
socialize with your decorative painting and plastering colleagues!
Teaching and studio time -FREE
Total class fees for supplies and incidentals - $225

Jennifer Carrasco's NEW Three-Week Mural Workshop
Painting Big I & II this spring at SAFS
The following classes can be taken in a three-week workshop or you can participate in just one class,
with the exception of Painting Big II.
Class 1 - Murals on Marmorino with Jennifer Carrasco
Learn to create gorgeous fresco-like paintings on Marmorino plaster. Students will combine Venetian
plaster and Venetian paint techniques to produce at least three beautiful samples of decorative frescos.
Advanced Murals I & II "Getting the Big Picture"
Class 2 - Painting Big I – This advanced class will take each student from their own sketches to
value and color studies, then to a scale drawing, and start them on a transfer of their design
to a large 4' by 6' mural on Roclon canvas. Class will be covering drawing, composition, perspective,
and scale.
Class 3 - Painting Big II . Prerequisite; Class 2 Advanced projects in perspective and drawing
assignments that involve human figures and architecture along with color theory and value studies
will accompany the finishing of the mural begun in Painting Big I. Historical research in design,
basic watercolor techniques, how to reduce or enlarge designs, transfer them, order stencils, and
much more will be taught. Only 5 students per class.
