Is that an Oil Painting 4 day workshop
Level of expertise; intermediate to advanced
Using acrylic glazes on canvas, the student will create two studies for murals of amazing depth and richness.
One painting will be on a dark ground and one will be on a light ground. The student will learn how to use colored
glazes and the actual ground to develop murals that glow with color. Acrylic paintings have often been criticized
for their "rawness" and lack of subtlety. This technique of glazing plus the accompanying demonstrations of color
theory will solve those issues. Problems of subtle shading and development of form will also be addressed, and the
student will be instructed in how to work as efficiently and effectively as possible to develop their large murals
by glazing with sponges and rollers of alternating layers of glaze.
